ZimRights honours former director
ZIMBABWE Human Rights Association (ZimRights) has conferred honorary membership on its former national director, Okay Machisa, for his contribution to the organisation’s work.
The recognition, which was announced by the organisation’s national chairperson Takesure Musiiwa, comes after a resolution by the ZimRights national council.
“During that tenure, he led the growth and expansion of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association across the country and beyond. He dedicated over a decade of his life to the association.
“It is my great privilege, with the power invested in me as the national chairperson of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association on behalf of the national council, I present today to (Mr Okay) Machisa, the extraordinary honour of ZimRights honorary membership for his extraordinary service to the calls of ZimRights in Zimbabwe…,” Musiiwa said.
He said the recognition gives Machisa the freedom of the association, allowing him to attend any of ZimRights events.
