Moyo, Longwe drop video
HARARE-based upcoming gospel sensation Martha Longwe has teamed up with Pastor Jedson Moyo on the single video called Lihle.
The video which was shot in Harare by Warlock media has lately been trending on social media.
Moyo told Daily News yesterday that the decision to partner Longwe was part of his mission to promote new talent in the gospel sector.
“As an upcoming female gospel artiste I felt she needed support, to help push her talent to greater heights. Having been in the industry for a while I think it was good for her to blend her talent with some of us. All I can say she has a huge potential especially if you look at her previous album,” said Moyo who has worked with many upcoming gospel musicians under his Talent Tracking project.
The Bulawayo-born Longwe who relocated to Harare to pursue her music dream released her debut six-track album titled Ingoma Yothando (Love songs for Jesus) last year and is already working on her second project.
“It was an honour to have featured such seasoned musicians like Moyo.
“I have learnt a lot from him, he is such an inspiration to me,” said Longwe who had a stint with Zimpraise before going solo.
“I am glad that the video is already doing fine on the market, my hope is to do more collaborations with fellow gospel singers especially seasoned ones.”
Longwe has four solo videos for songs Uncedo lwami, Ebukhoneni, Babusisiwe and Ingoma yothando.
However, according to Moyo the latest video project Lihle is based on Acts 4:12.
“There’s indeed no other name that we can be saved by besides the name of Jesus. It’s the name that carries power to heal to deliver.”
