RENOWNED United States-based Pastor Brian Amoateng has landed in Harare ahead of the inaugural edition of the National Youth All-Night Zimbabwe which will be held at 7 Arts Theatre in the capital.
Speaking soon after he had disembarked at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, Pastor Amoateng described his trip to Zimbabwe as a watershed moment in his ministry having hosted the National Youth All-Night in Ghana for 11 years prior.
“This has always been my dream to be in Zimbabwe. I have a lot of friends that are Zimbabweans and I think it is a prophecy that has been fulfilled today,” said Amoateng.
“We are here to impart light and believe God is going to do wonders here. Whatever God has given us, we are not bringing anything new—we are just here to add to what great men of God are already doing to impart this nation.”
Pastor Amoateng indicated that the staging of the National Youth All Night in Zimbabwe was facilitated by Prophet Reason Mutero of Hebron Family International Church. This year’s National Youth All Night is running under the theme “Influence”, with Amoateng stating that it is a message meant to inspire young people to make an impact in every sphere of life.
“Everyone is mandated to make an influence in their life because nobody is a mistake. I came here to empower young people so that they can make a massive influence wherever they find themselves—in business, in entertainment, in church, in ministry, in family—we can do something for Jesus, said Amoatenga, who also stated that one of the National Youth All Night’s thrusts would be to spread a message aimed at combating drug and substance abuse among youth, a scourge that has haunted not just Zimbabwe and Ghana, but the African continent and the world at large.
