OCTOBER puts a highlight on breast cancer awareness and 3Ktv has not been left behind in cascading information to all viewers in order to encourage proactive screening.
The Dose is a health-related show produced by Nesbert Mpande and presented by Yevai Jiro. Its aim is to focus on fulfilling the sustainable development goals that aim to ensure that people live healthy and worthy lives.
“On the Dose, health related issues are discussed from medical and alternative perspectives and October being breast cancer awareness month, we were afforded the opportunity to enlighten viewers on the impact of breast cancer,” Jiro highlighted.
The show, being information based brings experts from all walks of life to share information and experiences enabling viewers to make informed decisions on any health related issues.
“Your health is your wealth’ is a true assertion and that’s why trusted information is not usually readily available.
“3Ktv is the gift that keeps giving with the only expense being your monthly DStv subscription and tuning in every Thursday at 1730hrs for what can be termed as free consultations from various medical personels,” said the producer, Mpande.
Breast cancer is a global topical issue. There are numerous causes, risk factors and ways to prevent the disease that continue surfacing from further research. Such relevant information has been shared on the show.
“Being able to interview medical and homeopathic practitioners was an incredible way to shed more light to the viewers of the programme and raise awareness on breast cancer.
“I urge all women to self examine once a month, visit the doctor regularly, exercise and eat healthy and go for screening,” Jiro urged.
The show is very educative to the general populace, with its use of inclusivity and accommodative tactics among them the use of laymen terms that can easily be understood.
While it doesn’t replace a visit to the doctor, The Dose acts as an information-based show enabling people to lead healthy lives.
