LINGONG Heavy Machinery (LGMG) last week launched the Lingong Zimbabwe Sales and Service Center in Harare to supply mining and agricultural equipment.
Lingong Group, founded in 1972, boasts 52 years of experience in construction machinery technology and manufacturing.
It is one of China’s four major construction machinery groups and ranks globally among the top 50 industrial machinery companies. LGMG is a core enterprise within this group.
Mr Zhi General Manager of Lingong Heavy Machinery said as a leading Chinese manufacturer of mining equipment, LGMG has consistently focused on mining exploration and transportation since its establishment, striving to provide comprehensive solutions for various work scenarios for our customers.
To further enhance communication and cooperation with our valued customers and friends, Zhi said the company decided to appoint SUNWEST as the Zimbabwe Sales and Service Center!
“The Zimbabwean market is integral to LGMG’s global development strategy. Since entering Zimbabwe in 2016, LGMG has successfully gained recognition from a wide range of customers and friends, thanks to its product characteristics such as high power, low energy consumption, high hauling capacity, and fast operation. With mature product technology and stable market performance, LGMG has achieved a market share of over 50 percent in the field of mining transportation.
“The mining industry, as one of the important pillars of Zimbabwe’s national economy, is also a focal point of cooperation in achieving value addition in the field of mineral exploration and exploitation,” said Zhi.
Currently, Zhi said the company has formed four major series of mining transportation equipment products, including the MT, CMT, RT, and UT series, comprising more than 30 varieties.
“Additionally, there is the ME series of large excavator products. Our mining equipment clientele spans over 40 countries and regions. Our main product, the off-highway wide-body dump truck, has held the top global sales position for eight consecutive years. The company has received honors such as the Hurun Global Unicorn Enterprise and is ranked among the top 100 global engineering machinery manufacturers.

Sunwest Mining Manager Mr. Yu said the Group has consistently achieved the highest global market share for mining trucks and the fastest growth rate for aerial work platforms for several years.

“We operate the world’s largest mining truck production line and a specialised mining excavator production line, with an annual capacity of 20,000 to 40,000 mining trucks and 2,000 excavators. This enables us to respond to customer needs and achieve differentiated production.
“Since beginning our cooperation with SUNWEST in the Zimbabwe region in 2023, we have sold over 150 mining trucks, meeting the diverse needs of the local market and providing solid logistical support to neighboring countries. LGMG currently holds over 50 percent market share in the Zambia-Zimbabwe region, with five service centers/stations and spare parts reserves worth $10 million, meeting the diverse needs of local customers and ensuring they can “buy with confidence and use with peace of mind.
