FOUR Bulawayo men have appeared in court for allegedly hijacking a car along Luveve Road and stealing $310 000, a battery and front headlamps.

Solomon Henry from Thorngrove, Denson Tendai Zengeni, who resides in Makokoba and their accomplices, only identified as Johns and Stephen, were arrested after they allegedly attacked Innocent Moyo of Emakhandeni.

The accused appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Shepherd Mjanja facing robbery charges and were remanded out of custody pending trial.

The court heard that Moyo was driving his Honda Fit along Luveve Road on his way home when the accused, who were driving an unregistered Honda Fit, hit the complainant’s car and damaged the fender and right rear mirror.

When Moyo parked on the side of the road to assess the damage, Henry and his accomplices allegedly attacked him. Investigations were later made leading to the arrest of the accused persons. Police recovered all the stolen valuables.
