AMERICAN singer and songwriter Ciara reveals that she is dropping her new album in July. The album CiCi is an extension of her 2023 EP of the same name, featuring all six tracks from the mini-project, including hits like How We Roll with Chris Brown and Forever with Lil Baby.
This will be Ciara’s eighth studio album, which took five years to build. It follows her seventh studio album Beauty Marks, which was dropped in 2019.
The news was announced by Ciara on her social media platform, where she shared her excitement about the upcoming project.
According to Ciara, the album is her “love letter” to her fans, whom she affectionately calls her “Day 1s and Day 21s”.
In her announcement post, Ciara expressed her gratitude to her fans, saying, “You’ve stuck by me through every era, every evolution, and every independent leap of faith.”
The singer described the album as a celebration of her journey and a thank you to her fans for their unwavering support. She wrote, “This album right here is my love letter … A celebration of the journey – and more importantly, a thank you to you, my Day 1s and Day 21s.”
The mother of four also spoke about the themes of independence and self-empowerment that run through the album, expressing that being independent is not for the faint of heart, but her fans gave her the courage to keep pushing, to keep dreaming and to keep dancing like nobody is watching.
The album promises to be a reflection of Ciara’s growth and evolution as an artist, with every beat, lyric, and moment made to lift and make her fans feel something. In the post, Ciara is wearing a black shiny 3D-printed breastplate with black denim jorts and fur knee-high boots. She explains what the vest means to her, saying that it is her armour.
“And when you see the 3Dprinted breastplate? That’s not just a fashion statement. “That’s my armour. A symbol of the strength I’ve had to summon, the boundaries I’ve had to set, and the power I’ve learned to wear with pride,” she wrote.
The anticipated album CiCi is set to release on July 11. Fans can pre-save the album and mark the date in their calendars.
Ciara ended her announcement post with a message of love and appreciation to her fans, saying, “I love y’all endlessly. With all my heart, CiCi.”
With the CiCi era just around the corner, fans are eagerly anticipating the new music and visuals from the singer. Building up to the album release, the I Bet hitmaker released the single Ecstacy in April. – IOL
