YOUNG Warriors and Scottland winger Tadiwa Chakuchichi has signed for ROC Nation Sports International Management company who will manage his football affairs henceforth.
ROC Nation, which is owned by United States of America singer, Jay Z, represents high profile players like Vinicius Jr of Real Madrid and former Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, who is now with Napoli. The management agency yesterday confirmed that they have spread their wings to Africa with Chakuchichi becoming the only young talent to be signed in Zimbabwe.
“It’s great to have been signed up by ROC Nation and I think that the agency can help me go far in my career and further than so many Africans and Zimbabweans have gone. “I just feel like my football career is on the up and soon something promising may happen, like a move to a club in Europe and possibly endorsements as well,” said Chakuchichi.
Meanwhile, ROC Nation have also signed up several rising stars from around the continent, among them the South African duo of Emile Witbooi and Neo Bohloko, Ghanaian Joseph Narbi and Ifeoluwa Olowoporoku of Nigeria, among others.
“Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI) today (yesterday) announced its exciting expansion into the Africa football market, marking a significant milestone in the agency’s continued global growth. “This strategic move follows extensive research and due diligence conducted over the past year, underscoring RNSI’s commitment to creating an authentic and lasting impact on the African continent.
“RNSI’s Africa strategy focuses on forging partnerships with key territories across the continent, and the goal is not only to nurture elite football talent, but also to ensure these young athletes thrive in their careers, achieve success at the highest levels of the game and have the necessary support to make all of their dreams come true.
“This vision aims to replicate RNSI’s proven model around the globe, while maintaining a boutique approach to identifying and developing top young talent. “The clearest proof of what this expansion means on the ground is the recent recruitment of several young players from across the continent. “These teenage prodigies, hailing from South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, The Gambia, Guinea and Zimbabwe, have been carefully identified for their capabilities and commitment on and off the field,” said ROC Nation in a statement.
Apart from Vinicius Jr and DeBruyne, some of the prominent sports figures on RNSI’s roster include leading footballers such as international rugby stars such Siya Kolisi, Marcus Smith, Ellis Genge and Cheslin Kolbe, as well as Italian footballer Federico DiMarco. RNSI also consults for some of the biggest organisations in world sport such as Africa’s premier football club Mamelodi Sundowns, Como FC, E1 and Sail GP.
