Businessman to launch Zimbabwe’s first chat app

PREVAIL International Group chairperson Tempter Paul Tungwarara is set to launch the first Zimbabwean-owned one-stop social media chat application, Talk Chart, which allows people to connect seamlessly from any part of the world.

Tungwarara told the Daily News yesterday, that the app will be launched in the next few weeks.

“It’s a communication system app and it will be a one-stop shop as it connects people. We are also going to put a payment system in the app, which is going to link with financial systems,” he said.

“We are still doing the pilot project and the launch is coming in a few weeks. We are working with the Information Communication Technology (ICT) ministry and I think everything is going on well. I was in Dubai recently and I saw young people in Dubai,  being innovative in the ICT sector and other sectors and I thought we can also do the same in Zimbabwe.”

Tungwarara added that with Talk Chart, one can send and receive text messages, photos, videos, voice messages, and transact. Whether chatting one-on-one or in a group chat, the app allows one to express oneself and stay connected with other people.

“Talk Chart is a fast, reliable and secure chat app that lets people stay connected. The app uses state-of-the-art encryption to keep messages safe and private, so users can confidently chat knowing that their conversations are secure.”
