GOSPEL power couple Ellard and Sharon Cherayi have joined the long list of artists who will hold concerts next month.
Titled God the Lifter of Men, the show, to be held October 26 at East End Mall Showground in the capital, will be supported by Minister Michael Mahendere, Takesure Zamar, Nyasha Mutonhori, Eleana Makombe and Mathias Mhere, among others.
“Our journey has been nothing short of amazing. Over the years we have matured in music and we believe our music now has an impact and influence on people’s lives. The upcoming event has a power-packed line-up. We want our fans to be ready for us,” said Ellard Cherayi.
He added that the event is one of several they have lined up.“We have quite a lot coming up, we are planning on community impact programmes and collaborations with other artists.
“There are some notable changes that have so far taken place since we embarked on our music journey and I think the changes require us to research more on what our followers are going through so we can minister to them with relevance.
“We have led the nation to Christ through music and worship. Having a profound personal relationship with God is the key, leading people where I have been and allowing God to speak through me. We are God ambassadors and our inspiration and creativity are God-given,” said Cherayi.
The Cherayis, who have been described by many in gospel circles as a couple like no other, have featured in several high-profile concerts over the past couple of years. In May last year, Ellard and Sharon featured in the ‘Fearless Praise Concert’ alongside Pastor Bonnie Deuschle, Tembalami, Janet Manyowa and Nigerian star Nathaniel Bassey
