3Ktv unveils 12th season

FAST-GROWING independent television commercial station, 3Ktv has launched its 12th season which includes gripping local and international programmes.

Zweli Sibanda, the managing director of Jester Media Services broadcasting division said 3Ktv would continue offering intriguing programmes in line with its popular motto: The Best of Zimbabwe.

“This festive season we are riding on the theme Festive Fun. We have Christmas goodies in terms of our content mix.

Be sure to catch Loveback every Thursday at 1900. We also have local dramas with Bundu and four new entries Hukama, Nhodo, Faustina and Ndaizivei. Also catch the season finale of Village 4. The return of Siyagroovah and an all new mental health talk show entitled The Psychotherapist.”

With the festive season approaching, 3Ktv has promised unique content, perfect for families. “For Christmas we have exciting ensembles of music and dance for all.

As we enter into 2025 it’s rest and recharge be sure to catch the best of Zimbabwe from animation to current affairs,” Sibanda added. The managing director also went on to add that they are building on the success they garnered in previous seasons.

“The audience has taken on very well to our programming and shows. We have a lot of very popular shows across all genres which have a very strong following and provide true representation of the Zimbabwean story. It is therefore not surprising that we have received several awards ever since we launched,” Sibanda said.

3Ktv, which broadcasts 24 hours a day, launched its services on February 28 in 2022, becoming the first licensed free-to-air private station to operate in the country since television was first introduced in the then Southern Rhodesia in November 1960.

The 3Ktv head of programming, Lucia Kanyongo lauded the support the station has received since its launch.

“In-house producers have produced content ranging from entertainment to news and current affairs shows. The station also commissioned seasoned independent producers. The channel has also afforded viewers across Zimbabwe a platform to showcase their talents.

“I would like to thank Zimbabwe for supporting us and walking with us on this journey. At the Harare Agricultural Show they came in their numbers to our stand,” she said.

Apart from the television station, Jester Media Services also owns some of the country’s biggest and most influential media brands that include the Daily News, the Daily News On Sunday, its printing division Printco, Jester Events, online business newsletter Business Live, and The Financial Gazette — the country’s number one business publication.
