UZ postpones research week

THE University of Zimbabwe (UZ) has postponed its research week due to the obtaining coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

According to a notice by the university, the research week was scheduled for next week.

“The University of Zimbabwe regrets to inform its esteemed researchers and innovators, invited guests, strategic partners, UZ Alumni and the general public that our 2020 edition of the Research Week, originally scheduled to be held in the week beginning 27 July to 1 August 2020, has been postponed indefinitely.

“This decision is due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the threats it poses. New dates will therefore be announced in due course. The University sincerely regrets any inconveniences caused,” the notice reads. — STAFF WRITE
