Malawi gospel sensation heads for Harare

MALAWI gospel sensation Shekinah is set to perform in the capital on Valentine’s Day courtesy of the ChristLife Covenant Church.

Themed “Unscrolling the Secrets of Love”, the event will be held at the church’s headquarters in Houghton Park.

“As we celebrate love, we have invited the Malawian gospel musician to come and preach the subject to us.

“She is not only coming for the Valentine’s Day celebrations but also to inspire upcoming gospel musicians in the country,” the church founder cleric McWord said.

Shekinah whose real name is Gloria Phiri Walusa will share the stage with rising musician Jerdan Paradise. Her musical journey can be traced back to 2016 when she recorded her debut studio album I Worship released in 2017.

Some of the songs on the album include Glorious, I Worship, Mwayenera Ulemu and Wamoyo Ndi Wokutha (Alive and Able) among others.
