ENVIRONMENT and Tourism minister Mangaliso Ndlovu has urged Zimbabweans to stay at home and practise social distancing to protect themselves from the lethal coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

This comes as Zimbabwe is currently under a 21-day lockdown in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19 which has so far claimed three lives in the country.

“We thank you for staying at home and remember this is to save lives and for the country to conquer the battle against Covid-19.

“We love you all and we know you love to travel but for now, let’s stay at home,” Ndlovu said in a recorded video clip.
Ndlovu added that Zimbabwe will rise again from this predicament saying it will once again attract global tourists and host international visitors once the Covid-19 pandemic is contained.
