Karoi repossesses 200 residential stands

KAROI Town Council has begun repossessing more than 200 residential stands in three of its suburbs which have not been developed for years, the Daily News can report.

Town secretary Wellington Mutikani said they were repossessing stands in Chiedza high density, Westview medium density and Flamboyant low density suburbs.

Mutikani said council had since communicated with the owners of the stands.

“We will be giving those with the stands in these suburbs 21 days to come to the office and state their case. Most of them have gone for years without any development which is why we want to give them to other deserving residents of the town. There are a lot of people on the waiting list,” he said
