Irvine’s donates to Harare’s Kudakwashe Children’s Home

IRVINE’S Zimbabwe — the country’s biggest egg producer — celebrated  World Egg Day in charitable style, donating 3 000 eggs and 100 kilogrammes of chicken to Kudakwashe Children’s Home in Stoneridge, Harare.

Kudakwashe is home to 27 children, 17 of them physically-challenged. The home also provides about

1 000 people with free meals. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Irvine’s commercial director Anele Zunga lauded the children’s home for fostering disadvantaged children in an exemplary way.

“We chose this home because as a business we believe in supporting the communities that we operate in. We are very motivated when we see such good works that auntie Rachel (Rachel Ziki) and her team are doing. As a responsible business we are here to support that and build a relationship with the home and support various other projects that they are doing,” said Zunga.

Kudakwashe Children’s Home principal director Rachel Ziki thanked Irvine’s for partnering with the orphanage.
