Chivaviro’s son releases album
© THEY say like father like son! Gospel music sensation Reverend TT Chivaviro’s son, Tinashe will launch his debut album, Musavasiye on January 12.
The launch will take place at 8pm on Radio Zimbabwe while the live launch takes place in Texas USA at 12:30pm Dallas time, at the Harvest International Church.
Tinashe, 16 is currently performing in the USA where he is being supported by his father as he only focuses on music during school holidays.
The Form 3 student at Waddilove High School Marondera released a single in September last year titled Nguva DzaMwari which was followed by a video in November which was well received.
Tinashe started playing drums in church at the age of nine and is now a regular drummer in his father’s band.
The youngster only started trying his voice and song writing in 2019 after enrolling at Waddilove, a school which has a vibrant choir and a passion for music.
Tinashe’s sister Munashe, 13 has also composed and recorded a debut single, Today We Start which is on Tinashe’s album. Munashe is more on the contemporary side while Tinashe chose to follow the traditional path.
Tinashe’s music will be available on Worldwide Online stores like Amazon, iTunes, Google Playstore, Nokiamusic and Spotify all courtesy of a distribution deal between his father and American Music Company, Tunecore.
The album has six songs, three which he wrote. These include Nguva dzaMwari, Musavasiye, Batanai Maoko, Today We Start (by Munashe), Chokwadi Zita raJesu (A hymn by Mai Chivaviro) and Hakuna Anoramba (a single by Rev Chivaviro feat Blessing Shumba).
