PROMISING gospel musician, Eternity Charamba, is back with a new single Awesome Jesus set to be released on Friday.
The song is a follow-up to her debut single Tonamata Jesu released last year in July.
“Awesome Jesus is a song that expresses our unending appreciation of
God’s goodness to His children, in every season. Moreover, it is a
praise song in which we call upon God to let His will be done, and
that His kingdom come on earth,” Eternity told the Daily News.
The daughter of music legends-Charles and Olivia Charamba is hopeful
that the single will instil hope in Zimbabweans who have been
dispirited by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“As a country, and the world at large, we’re going through a difficult
time and it has been quite a rough patch but this song praises Him
“I believe that when we continue to give Jesus His place, we will be
saved from all our challenges. He is in control. I believe that the
more His praises go up, the more His glory will fill the earth,” she
Eternity added that she is determined to preach the good news to her fans.
“I hope the song will uplift people’s spirits, as they take a look at
God’s grace and mercy towards them. Most of us have suffered loss of
loved ones, some have personally battled Covid-19, and so my prayer is
that the song Awesome Jesus becomes our daily declaration that at all
times God remains good because He is unchanging. Let us keep our eyes
on Him because He has good plans for us,” she said.
The song, to premiere on YouTube on Friday, will be accompanied by a video.
“It will also be available on the leading music digital platforms. The
song is part of our father’s compositions for us. We will be releasing
our own compositions in the near future,” she said.
Last year, Eternity launched her debut single on July 10 together with
her sister Shalom who released Mbiri Yose.
