A BULAWAYO man has appeared before the court facing charges of distributing a pornographic image of a man and a woman engaging in sex. Prosecutors said Sydney Ndhlukul, 63, from New Magwegwe sent a picture of a couple engaging in sexual intercourse to his neighbour Rose Dube.
Western Commonage magistrate Shepherd Njanja remanded Ndhlukula out of custody.
It is alleged that Ndhlukula told Dube that she was the woman in the picture. Initially Dube thought Ndhlukula was joking until after a few more chats she realised he was actually serious in claiming that it was indeed her in the picture. Dube reportedly told Ndhlukula several times it was not her, but he went on to forward the picture to many social media groups. The court heard that many people inboxed Dube telling her about the picture and that Ndhlukula had been telling them that it is her who is in the picture.
Ndhlukula allegedly even created a picture collage using Dube’s pictures next to the picture of the naked woman. Dube is reportedly now afraid of walking around the neighbourhood because she has now lost the respect of neighbours and children. — HAZEL MARIMBIZA
