Chief executive officer of the Zimbabwe Women’s Microfinance Bank (ZWMB), Mandas Marikanda, will attend the event and share her vast expertise in financial inclusion and economic empowerment.
Marikanda has over two decades of experience and has been instrumental in designing innovative financial interventions, particularly for rural populations and disadvantaged women.
Her career has seen her spearheading group savings initiatives, developmental microfinance, and groundbreaking lending programmes in rural communities.
A seasoned consultant and accredited trainer for ICT/ILO’s Making Microfinance Work programme, Marikanda has also led practical initiatives for youth and women’s entrepreneurship.
Her experience spans across Africa, having undertaken assignments in Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, and Zambia.
Holding a PhD in Economic Empowerment and Microfinance, an MBA from Eastern University (USA), and an HRUP Honours degree from the University of Zimbabwe, Marikanda’s insights on financial inclusion are bound to inspire and ignite meaningful change.
Head of SME Banking at Nedbank Zimbabwe Limited, Miriam Zisengwe, is set to share her wealth of knowledge at the Women’s Month Launch and Dinner.
With an illustrious career spanning over 27 years in banking and financial services, Zisengwe is an advocate for small business development, financial literacy, and female entrepreneurship.
She has played an instrumental role in driving Nedbank’s SME business growth and has actively contributed to national and regional dialogues on financial inclusion.
Her credentials include an MBA from Steinbeis University in Germany, a postgraduate diploma in Marketing Management from UNISA, and a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Economic History from the University of Zimbabwe.
Zisengwe has been a delegate of the International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) in the USA, networking with top female executives and entrepreneurs across different continents.
A trailblazer in her field, Zisengwe has spoken at prestigious platforms such as the WEConnect International Workshop, the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) Forum, and Sadc’s Industrialisation Week.
Her insights on accelerating business, financial inclusion, and industrialisation in Zimbabwe and beyond would undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on attendees.
A founding Trustee and President of the Professional Women, Women Executives, and Businesswomen’s Forum (PROWEB), Tendayi Hlupo-Mamvura, is an integral part of Zimbabwe’s women’s empowerment movement.
Her dedication to gender equity and creating opportunities for women has made her a formidable force in the industry.
In addition to her leadership in PROWEB, Hlupo-Mamvura is the chief executive officer of Zimbabwe Global Investments.
She is at the helm of the groundbreaking Zim Cyber City development in Mount Hampden, playing a crucial role in shaping Zimbabwe’s emerging metropolis.
