Ngariyedze: It’s a Phil’s mini world

Kudzai “Phil” Muchenjekwa

NGARIYEDZE is a morning show on 3Ktv featuring a lot of exciting segments. Our correspondent Sympathy Sibanda spoke to television presenter Kudzai “Phil” Muchenjekwa who has brought sunshine on 3Ktv’s hottest shows.

Q. Welcome to this column where we talk all things 3K. Please introduce yourself to our readers

A. Kudzai Muchenjekwa is a young man aged 29 who lives in Harare. I am a blogger and Master of ceremonies. I am a quiet and shy person but I love to talk to people (laughs) — which is weird.

Q. How did you get into broadcasting?

A. I got into broadcasting this year in August (I am still a newbie— laughs) after a friend heard my podcast and encouraged me to go for auditions at 3KTV.

Q. And tell us about your style. You always look on point every time you are on air?

A. (Laughs) I actually style myself, I have always been a person who really pays attention to the way I dress. I have been told that the first impression you give people is based on how you dress and I always try to give a good impression; and of course when you dress good, you feel good.

Q. Your role model?

A. For me its Steve Harvey, he is one person that pushes me to look good and be good at hosting shows; I always say that the dream is to become the Steve Harvey of Zimbabwe

Q. Why should people watch Ngariyedze?

A. I have many reasons why people should watch Ngariyedze, the first being that it is the best breakfast show where we give news in a more relaxed manner.

We talk about day to day issues and we know how to keep news interesting.

Q. Tell me about the bromance with Ronnie. Do you rehearse?

A. (Laughs) Truth is it’s not rehearsed; it’s the click that we just have. It’s all natural.

Q. Any last words for viewers of Ngariyedze?

A. I just want to say thank you for following Ngariyedze and supporting me and everyone at 3KTv.

I appreciate and God bless you, keep following us.
