MUSABVUNDA Fitness and Wellness is gearing up for its biggest fitness showcase yet when it stages the fourth edition of its annual festival at Belgravia Sports Club in Harare on November 28 and 29.

Running under the theme “Kubvunda Hutera”, the two-day festival is expected to bring together fitness enthusiasts, athletes, families and members of the community for a weekend of sporting activities and entertainment.

The event will feature a wide range of activities, including Strength Wars, fitness challenges, tug-of-war competitions, children’s games and a half marathon, offering participants from different age groups an opportunity to take part.

Speaking to the Daily News, Musabvunda chief executive officer Kudzai Pasipanodya said the main objective of the festival was to take fitness beyond traditional gym environments and make it accessible to ordinary people.

“Our vision has always been to bring fitness to the people. We want people to understand that fitness is not only for professional athletes or those who spend time in the gym, but something that everyone can embrace regardless of their age or fitness level.

“Through this festival, we are creating an environment where people can come together, exercise, challenge themselves and enjoy the benefits of living an active lifestyle,” said Pasipanodya. He said they are also expecting a bigger turnout this year, with the two-day format providing more opportunities for participants to engage in different activities.

“We are expecting a huge number of participants because this is going to be our biggest event since we started. We have expanded the activities and introduced a two-day programme, which gives people more time and opportunities to participate in the different competitions.

“We want this year’s edition to be different in terms of participation, organisation and the overall experience. Our focus is to make sure that everyone who comes through the gates finds something that they can enjoy and participate in,” he said.

The inclusion of a half marathon is expected to add a competitive dimension to the festival, while Strength Wars and the various fitness challenges will provide a platform for participants to test their strength, endurance and physical abilities.

The tug-of-war competitions are also expected to bring an exciting team element to the festival, while children’s games will ensure that younger participants are not left out. Beyond the sporting activities, the festival is also expected to provide an opportunity for families and fitness communities to interact, while encouraging more people to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Having reached its fourth edition, the Musabvunda Fitness and Wellness Festival continues to provide a platform for promoting physical activity and bringing people together through sport.
