AWARD-WINNING gospel musician Tatenda Mahachi has released his latest single, Ndirangarire (Lord, Remember Me), accompanied by an official music video, to mark his birthday.
Released on August 19, the song is available on all major digital platforms, with the accompanying video streaming on Mahachi’s YouTube channel, Tatenda Mahachi.
“This song is for everyone who feels like God isn’t listening. For the person crying at 2am wondering if they are loved. For the one who feels forgotten,” Mahachi said.
“It’s my prayer to God asking Him to remember me. And it’s a reminder that God always answers. He knows the right time.”
The worship-driven song explores faith, vulnerability and the experience of waiting on God, offering a message of hope to listeners going through difficult seasons.
Mahachi, an award-winning gospel musician known for his worship-led music, said he chose to release the song on his birthday as a gift to his supporters and an encouragement to those waiting on God.
“I’m releasing this on my birthday because I believe God is reminding me — and all of us — that He remembers,” he said.
“If you’ve been waiting on God, let this song be your prayer too.”
Through his music and ministry, Mahachi has built a following in Zimbabwe, across Africa and in the diaspora, with songs centred on faith, God’s love, faithfulness and timing.
The release of Ndirangarire marks another chapter in his musical journey, with the song serving both as a personal expression of faith and a prayer for those who may feel forgotten.
