HARARE – Zimbabwe Music Crossroads protégé Simon Mutambi will unveil his sixth album Zviri Pasi Pedenga tomorrow at City Sports Bar in Harare.
City Sports Bar manager Yasin Dhala said his joint is happy to host Mutambi’s album launch.
“Mutambi is like our son hence we are pleased to be part of the programme. The day will be his,” Dhala said.
Mutambi was the first sungura artiste to perform at Harare International Festival of the Arts (Hifa) and has confirmed that his new product Zviri Pasi Pedenga is ripe for the market.
“Last year, we made a significant impact on showbiz, where we were on second position on Coca- Cola Radio Zimbabwe Top 50 and the response we are getting from fans is encouraging.
“As a result, we do not want to let down our fans hence we are giving them another gem on Wednesday,” said the Cobra Kings front man.
The Beatrice-based bassist and vocalist will be supported by a number of local artistes, including sungura musician Romeo Gasa among others.
Those who follow Mutambi are now familiar with most of the songs on the album which include the potential hit Maporofita that urges prophets not to lead followers astray.
