Mucherahowa blasts DeMbare bosses

HARARE – Former Dynamos captain Memory Mucherahowa has added his voice to the Glamour Boys’ stuttering start to the 2016 Castle Lager Premiership season by blaming the current executive for the team’s woes.

Mucherahowa, who captained the Glamour Boys to three championships in the 90s, is not impressed by the leadership at the Harare giants.

Dynamos have struggled for form in the first five matches under Portuguese coach Paulo Jorge Silva.

The volatile Silva, who replaced Tonderai Ndiraya at the start of the season, has only managed to get five points from the opening five matches which has left the club fifth from bottom.

Mucherahowa, however, is not pleased by the inertia shown by Dynamos president Kenni Mubaiwa in dealing with the Silva issue.

“5 (five) games — 1 (one) win — slow start is it or it’s just that the team is going through transition — Pasuwa was fired for what reason? Mandigora was given a contract based on winning (points) Ndiraya was not given a chance,” Mucherahowa wrote on his Facebook page yesterday.

“I am not talking on behalf of the previous coaches who lost their jobs but rather as a former captain and moreso a supporter of Dynamos FC.

“We have seen previous coaches going for one reason or another but WHY ,WHY, WHY …president why are you letting the club carry on in this downward spiral?

“I know you enough . . . president Sir. I know you are like everyone who supports Dynamos. We are not happy with the current slump. If he was managing one of your businesses with this failure, I’m sure he would have been sacked by now.

“True to form you have dismissed previous managers/coaches for such ‘failures’ that’s why it baffles me that . . . Silva is still in charge despite his clear lack of direction to steer us out this predicament. What is so special about him?

“If this situation does not change, then the whole board and executive is letting the club and its supporters down.”
