EDITOR — I find the recent sentencing of child kidnappers in Kadoma a mockery to justice.
The gang allegedly kidnapped nine-year-old twins reportedly under instruction from an MP in the area for ritual purposes.
Two got six-month sentences and another nine months for kidnapping two innocent, vulnerable souls, undoubtedly to kill and use them for ritual purposes?
Where is the justice in that? Is that a sentence that can deter would-be child kidnappers?
With all due respect, I think it trivialises the value we attach to the lives of our children.
These are blessings from God and as such should be cherished, provided for and protected.
This case needs an urgent review and all those involved should be brought to book and get appropriate sentences otherwise our children’s lives will remain at risk.
