Prophetess Angel buys Makosi’s book for $1 000

HARARE – Beverly Angel, wife to Spirit Embassy leader Uebert Angel, bought a copy of former Big Brother United Kingdom (UK) star Makosi Musambasi’s new book for $1 000 during the weekend launch of the book at the Book Café.

The book titled ‘Love Yourself, The Ultimate Choice’ was also snapped-up for $600 by prominent businessman Nigel Chanakira while Barbra Mzembi, wife to Tourism minister Walter Mzembi, forked out $500 for the book.

Dressed in African attire, the vivacious 33-year-old Makosi who is now a born again Christian, admitted that controversy had stalked her since she was kindergarten.

“I did not start to be controversial five years ago but way back when I was still in kindergarten,” said Musambasi to the high-profile launch which attracted journalists, musicians, diplomats, pastors, prophets and business personalities.

“I remember when I was nine years old, I woke up one day and did a mohawk hair style which made  my mother very furious.”

Musambasi revealed that she has so far sold over 150 copies of her book.

The radio personality claimed that two Nigerians purchased the book for $4 000 each during the launch of the book in the Nigerian capital city, Abuja.

Beverly Angel, who is regarded as a prophetess within the Spirit Embassy church headed by her husband, praised Musambasi for becoming a born-again Christian.

“I am proud of you Makosi, you know that, I prophesy many books in your life,” said prophetess Angel.

Businessman Chanakira, who recently sold his 30 percent shareholding in AfriAsia Kingdom Zimbabwe Limited, praised Makosi’s determination to succeed against odds.

“Makosi is a smart kid, unlike many young girls of her age she did not wait for an opportunity to come knocking at her door but she created one,” said the veteran banker.

“She has done a remarkable thing that many young girls should emulate, that is, creating a balance in a world that is mainly dominated by man.”

Musambasi also got kudos from the equally controversial Mudiwa Mutandwa.

“We are proud of her and will continue to support her no matter what,” said the colourful gospel rapper.
