HARARE – Awards-winning Emirates is targeting Harare’s trading community with an intensive six-day awareness campaign across the city’s main markets.
The airline — which flies daily from Harare to Lusaka and Dubai — is spending this week highlighting the opportunities for traders and shoppers’ looking to buy merchandise at some of the world’s best shopping destinations, including Dubai.
Last month Emirates was voted the Best International Airline at the Association of Zimbabwe Travel Agents.
The prestigious accolade, voted for by local travel agents, named Emirates as the country’s preferred airline.
A dedicated team of Emirates brand ambassadors are currently touring the streets and markets of Harare this week (September 30 to October 5) to highlight airline’s offers for traders and explain their significance directly to thousands of business men and women in Gulf City, OK Zimbabwe First Street and Fife Avenue, Tynserve Rezende, Tynserve Graniteside, Mohamed Musa CBD and Spar Julius Nyerere.
Among the offers being promoted are Economy Class fares starting from $816 return from Harare to Mumbai and $854 return to Dubai.
Bargain hunters can pay return fares from $1 012 from Harare to London Gatwick, $1 052 to London Heathrow, $1 265 to Beijing and Guangzhou, $1 270 to Hong Kong, $1 320 to Kuala Lumpur, $1 447 to Singapore and $1 585 to Shanghai.
A generous 150kg excess baggage allowance is also available at an additional cost, and means market traders can bring back more goods from their trips to Dubai, helping to make their businesses more efficient and prices more competitive for their customers.
“Emirates helps traders find the best bargains anywhere in the world. From Dubai’s souqs and collections of iconic brands to Asia’s technology and textile markets,” said Emirates country manager for Zimbabwe Paulos Legesse.
“Competitive fares and a generous baggage allowance add up to some great business opportunities.”
