HARARE – Bolt , the Sierra Leone hunk and stunning Namibian lass Maria, say they are better people because of their Big Brother Africa experiences.
The evicted duo, who spoke to the Daily News in an exclusive interview on Tuesday are the fifth set of housemates to be evicted since the current season began.
Bolt, who got evicted just a week after his Ethiopian love Betty was sent packing out of the BBA house, insists that his failure to claim the $300 000 grand price will not water down his unforgettable stay in the house.
“Being in the Big Brother house was a great experience for me and I met a lot of people who created everlasting memories,” said Bolt.
“My relationship with Betty created a big buzz inside and outside the Big Brother house but it was a relationship we agreed with Betty,” said the uproarious Bolt.
Bolt conceded that he fancied Pokello.
“We had crazy and weird moments in the house. I liked Pokello and had plans for her but discovered that Elikem was also in love with her. Elikem is my man so I could not execute the plan,” said the Sierra Leonean.
Maria said she got on the reality show to get exposure that she believes will elevate her modelling and radio broadcasting careers.
She told the Daily News she would have loved to continue in the house and even begged in vain to Biggie to continue her stint on Africa’s most popular reality show.
“Africa now knows there is someone like me and this has marketed me throughout Africa. I tell you, being in that house is an achievement and leaves unforgettable memories,” said Maria.
She added that she turned down South African Angelo because she had a serious love affair back home in Namibia.
“I turned Angelo down because I am in a relationship,” said the Namibian model.
