Pokello nominated for eviction

HARARE – Just a day after Zimbabwe’s Big Brother representative Hakeem Mandaza escaped eviction from the reality show, the country’s other representative Pokello Nare has been lined up for potential eviction.

Pokello who was nominated by five people, could come back home if she is not saved by the Ghanaian Head of House Selly. Chances of the Zimbabwean socialite being spared the axe appear very remote given the apparent bad blood between the two.

Selly, who came to near blows with Pokello on Saturday night during the party, is among the five who nominated the controversial Zimbabwean housemate.

The only other way Pokello, who has been accused by fellow housemates of being rather aloof, can survive banishment is if she gets the highest number of country votes.

The Zimbabwean fashion icon is not the only one with her head on the chopping block. Malawi’s feisty Natasha was also nominated five times.

With housemates and viewers alike increasingly expressing disapproval of the way she has conducted herself in the house, Pokello’s future in Africa’s most famous reality show appears doomed.

Among several reasons, Pokello was nominated for being bossy and of exhibiting diva tendencies.

Meanwhile Zimbabwean Big Brother viewers on Sunday night breathed sighs of relief as Zimbabwean housemate Hakeem survived eviction.

Hakeem was last week nominated by four female housemates in a move many attributed to his affection and commitment to Zambia’s Cleo.

The Zimbabwean hunk’s professed love for Cleo has proven to be an actual strength as people sympathised with him and admired his courage and commitment to show his feelings and emotions.

Hakeem received six country votes from Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the rest of Africa.

South Africa’s Koketso and her Ugandan lover LK4 were shown the door after failing to receive sufficient votes.

The Ugandan’s expulsion has left his country with no representative on the reality show as fellow countryman Denzel was evicted after just one week.
