HARARE – Zimbabwe’s Warriors will get their preparations off the ground this morning for the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Egypt at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The 25-man squad which was released last week was expected in camp last night. They will hold their first training session this morning at the National Sports Stadium B Arena.
After hosting the Pharaohs on Sunday, the Warriors will remain in camp as they will travel to Conakry the following weekend to face Guinea.
The Warriors will then round up their group assignments with a home tie against Mozambique in September.
Warriors manager Sharif Mussa said: “We are expecting all the players called to report for camp tonight (last night). We will know by tonight who have come and who have not come.
“We have made our own inquiries about local players who were involved in league matches at the weekend. And we did not receive any injury concerns.
“We will have two training sessions in the morning and in the afternoon. The technical will be making adjustments if the situation demands, but for now this is the squad that we will be working on for the Egypt and Guinea game.”
