HARARE – The much-advertised concert which was to pit Beverly Sibanda, Peter Moyo and Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima at Zimhunhu Bar in Epworth tonight is likely to be a flop as the raunchy dancer Sibanda is still behind bars.
Sibanda and her mentor Zoey Noleen Sifelani were arrested on Wednesday facing “Indecent exposure.”
However, Sibanda’s manager told the Daily News yesterday that he is running up and down with lawyers so that the “girls” will be released.
“The shows are still on and I hope they will be released soon because in actual fact there is no offence committed by them as they are fully registered, the police is only reacting to people’s outcry.
“In our shows people under the age of 19 are not allowed, no cameras and the girls are allowed even to wear only a G-string according to the law,” he said.
Sibanda is also expected to clash with her mentor and the Bulawayo-based Girls La Musica tonight at City Sports Bar in Harare while tomorrow she is likely to put Masvingo’s Ritz bar on fire.
