Nash targets strong comeback

HARARE – Zimbabwe National Association of Secondary Heads (Nash) president Johnson Madhuku believes the locals will make a strong comeback at the Cossasa Games that began yesterday in Windhoek, Namibia.

Team Zimbabwe, who last took part in the Cossasa Games in 2006 due to financial constraints, travelled to Namibia with Under-17 sides in such disciplines as volleyball, basketball, netball and soccer comprising both boys and girls.

“We are ready for the Games and we are going there with the zeal and determination to win in all the categories, we want to record a strong comeback in this important regional tournament,” Madhuku told the Daily News yesterday.

Some of the countries expected to take part include Zambia, Botswana, Mozambique, Angola, South Africa, Malawi and Lesotho.
